Aim: To get your new knee joint bending again.
- Find a comfortable seated position (correct height – i.e higher will be better during the early post op days.
- Gently slide the heel from out in front to behind you. At first this may be quite painful and feel very tight around the scar and clips so ease into it bit by bit.
3.You may have to remove the shoe and simply slide your sock on the floor to provide less resistance.
4.You may have to use your arms to help encourage the bend bit by bit.
5.Repeat 10-20 reps at regular intervals throughout the day, eg 4-6 times.
- Do not work into pain more than 4-5 out of 10.
0 = No pain – 10 = Max pain.
